Since 2014, anynines has been driven by one clear goal: to create a workplace where family life and career can truly go hand in hand. For us, being family-friendly isn’t just about flexible hours – it’s about supporting people so they can balance work, personal life, and their own goals in a way that feels right for them.

What family-friendly means to us

Being family-friendly means listening, understanding, and making space for life’s different stages. We offer flexible working options, practical guidance for parents, and a company culture that values the person behind the job. We believe that everyone should be able to grow their career without having to put their family life on hold.

Why it matters

People who feel supported bring their best selves to work. When our team knows that personal needs are respected, motivation, creativity, and long-term commitment naturally grow. A family-friendly culture doesn’t just make our employees happier, it makes our entire company stronger.

Workshop & re-certification

Through the “Working and Living in Saarland” service centre, Saarland companies receive support in making their HR policies more family-friendly and can earn the “Family-friendly Company” quality seal.

This summer, some of our team members spent a day in a workshop with Julia Luckenbill from the service center. Together, we shared ideas, discussed goals, and explored wishes for the future. Together we found practical ways to start a fresh chapter and strengthen programs that help balance  work and life.

Today, we are proud to share that we have been successfully re-certified as a family-friendly company.

The certificate handover and a mini celebration took place on November 14, 2025, at our office with Ms. Luckenbill.

The insights and ideas from the workshop were captured in our new guiding principle:

“We aim to create a workplace where work and family life can be seamlessly combined and encourage meaningful connections between families within our organization.
As a company committed to diversity and international collaboration, we provide an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone feels recognized and valued.”

This milestone captures perfectly that work and life aren’t meant to compete – they should support each other.

Engagement beyond certification

Our commitment goes beyond the certificate on the wall.

In fact, in 2022 I became a certified parental guide, and it has allowed me to support colleagues through the different stages of family life. I get to assist employees with parental leave planning, and even the little challenges of daily life. I’m always here to listen and lend a helping hand.

Ways we offer a truly family-friendly environment at anynines include:

  • We offer special leave for important family occasions
  • Additional child sick days
  • Company events in which partners, kids, and even dogs are welcome. 

These moments bring us together and remind us that work and life belong side-by-side.

Furthermore, anynines is also an active member of the Local Alliance for Families in the Saarbrücken Regional Association, where we aim to make a positive impact not only within our company but also in our wider community.

Family-friendliness in the workplace is something we strive for every day.
