Welcome Wednesday: Ankita Sharma

This Wednesday we officially welcome on board Ankita Sharma. A whip-smart and promising young woman from India, who’s been building her career in marketing and tech, and came to anynines to complete the team as product marketeer. But there’s more to Ankita, she is a brilliant artist and her sketches are breathtaking, she talks about it and some other hobbies in the interview below.

1 – Will you please introduce yourself? 

AS – Hi! My name is Ankita Sharma. I am from India and I recently joined anynines as Product Marketing Manager and Sales. I have been living in Berlin for 3 years now and totally love it here.

2 – What have you studied? 

AS – I finished my Masters in International Marketing Management last year from IU University, Berlin (previously called IUBH). And in 2011, I did my Bachelors in Information Technology. 

3 – What does your path look like until now?

AS – Full of variety! I would say, I have challenged myself several times before I finally found my passion for the right field of work. When I finished my Bachelors in IT, I worked for a MNC as a support analyst. After that I took up personal projects to try and make games in gaming engines. I also freelanced, did graphic arts and sketching. It was a really interesting and fun time. However, for me knowledge of Marketing was missing. And I knew that this is what I want to do in future and continue with it. 

4 – What are you doing when you are not working?

AS – When I am not working I like to do art, cook and play table tennis. Also, I enjoy playing video games. 

5 – Where are you originally from?

AS – I am from Mandsaur (situated in Madhya Pradesh), India.  

6 – What would people love about your hometown and why should they go there? 

AS – It is a very nice place with friendly people. The town has bits of ancient architecture and in general is quite popular for an ancient Temple of Lord Shiva (Pashupatinath Temple) and Teliya Talab (water dam). Also, the street food is amazing.

7 – What was your motivation for joining us?

AS – The motivation for joining the company is the essence of anynines and the innovative services that it provides. During the interview process, I realized that this is the right place for me. As a Product Marketing Manager, I am looking forward to my growth with the company along with the value I can provide back to it.  

8 – What can you tell people, who are considering anynines as an employer?

AS – If you are interested in Cloud Technologies and want to work with Kubernetes, this is the right place for you. Also, the company is really flexible and provides a good work-life balance. You can do home office and work in office according to your suitability. Isn’t that great?
