The first half of 2022 has offered the community several cloud computing events.
A lot happened; KubeCon & CloudNativeCon EU and DoK Day Europe in Valencia kicked things off to bring some normality back to the community conference space. Finally, it was possible to meet in person and exchange ideas again.
Now that we’re nearing the end of the year, the anticipation and excitement are growing. There’s still a lot to come regarding cloud-native events.
Here are our personal top 4 highlights for the rest of this year. We’ve packed them into a short overview to bring them to you in a nutshell.
KubeCon will be held in conjunction with CloudNativeCon in North America. This time taking place in Detroit, from October 25 to 28, in a hybrid format.
The KubeCon & CloudNativeCon event is a CNCF initiative. It is perhaps the most important event for professionals interested in the field of Kubernetes, being the best place to discuss new stacks, new projects, and updates and amplify your network.
The event sought to enable collaboration with industry peers and thought leaders and displays just how big and motivated the developer community is.
The hybrid DoK Day will happen just before KubeCon NA on October 24, 2022.
The event had its first editions in 2021 remotely, and this event will be it’s first with the hybrid format coming live from Detroit, US.
The Data on Kubernetes Community was founded in 2020 and is an openly governed group of brilliant practitioners; and has done incredible work unifying the Kubernetes community, educating and helping others to grow their voices.
As Kubernetes is increasingly used to run databases and other workloads, DoK Day was created to share use cases, techniques, and best practices between and with the community inside and outside DoKC.
The event will happen 25th of October 2022.
This edition will bring back the in-person format after three years. But the online participation option will continue to be available.
Cloud Foundry Day is a full day of sessions hosted by the Cloud Foundry Foundation. The technical community, end-users, and member companies will come together to discuss these new technologies and discover what’s new with the traditional Cloud Foundry architecture.
